Marine Software Newsletter - April 2001

U.K. based software house Marine Software Limited has supplied Marine Planned Maintenance for Windows to R.R.S. Discovery operated by N.E.R.C Research Ship Unit based in the Southampton Oceanographic Centre. All data including planned maintenance history was transferred from the previous in-house system and the system was installed during the vessels recent refit in Specialist Heavy Engineer's dry dock at Newport. The planned maintenance system will be able to continue without a break when the vessel resumes service. This system complements a similar system installed in R.R.S. Charles Darwin last year. An office system has been installed at Southampton to receive regular updates from the onboard planned maintenance systems.

The Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Bermuda has taken delivery of a Marine Planned Maintenance System, which they will use to manage the maintenance schedules for all their plant located around the island. This once again demonstrates the flexibility of MPMWin.

Bluewater Marine Management has taken delivery of Marine Storekeeper for Windows stock control system for seven vessels of the UND Ro-Ro fleet, which they have under management. They have also ordered Office Storekeeper for Windows in order to keep track on the spare gear situation onboard the vessels. OSKWin is updated from regular data transfers from onboard systems.
